About the Research Centre:
In collaboration with the CityU, the University of Oxford an d the Karolinska Institutet, the Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE) was established with the support of the ITC-InnoHK Programme to develop new ways to tackle cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is the world s leading cause of morbidity an d mortality. To address the most pressing health challenges caused by CVD, COCHE focuses on developing innovative technologies such as flexible an d wearable devices, biomedical an d molecular imaging, nano-biosensing, micro-robotics, healthcare AI systems, an d other groundbreaking methods to enable early prevention, diagnosis an d intervention of the disease. The Two PhD student positions will be officially registered at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) an d will conduct research at Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE, https://www.hkcoche.org . The two qualified Postdoctoral Fellows are supported by Hong Kong Research Talent Hub. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics Or closely related field. The appointment will be for 1-3 years (renewable) with monthly salary offered at HK$32,000 an d medical benefits.
General Qualification:
• Ph.D. Or an equivalent degree in Electronic an d Electrical Engineering, Computer Science an d Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Or a closely related field.
• Expertise in any of the following areas: wearable an d flexible electronics, signal an d imaging processing, computational mathematics, machine learning an d AI an d nanorobotics, MRI, an d interests in CVD applications is a must.
• Excellent oral communication an d written skills in English, with good organizational an d analytical abilities.
